The glass block i have is totally clear on the front and back. Did you coat yours with something? Or perhaps they make them that aren't clear? The sides are white and you can't see through them.
Denise, I didn't coat them with anything. Just the vinyl on the front and hole in the back to put the lights inside of the block. The color of the ribbon wrapped around it sometimes causes a slight cast of color to the block- like the ones with green ribbon- as light passes through it gives teh block a slight green cast in the day light.
I absolutely love all of the glass blocks and tiles! I was thinking of working with both of these materials my self probably painting them. But wow! How do I get in touch with you and all this fabulous stuff? This makes me so excited I can't tell you how much. I was going to make coasters for the girls at work for all of our drinks. And the vinyl would be great. And I also love the pictures in just black silhouettes. Thanks for showing and sharing your work, Lori

I love the tiles. What a great idea! The blocks are nice also. You did a great job on both.
The blocks are great! How do you get the hole in the glass? Drill?
The holes are drilled with a diamond drill bit
